Our Workshop
We use traditional and modern jewellery making techniques here in our William Street boutique and workshop. We design using CAD, 3D print our resin model. We cast using our own gold and platinum. The ring is then hand finished using centuries old engraving techniques.
Our engraving is inspired by sketches, ancient symbols, family monograms and family crests. We can sketch out your ideas ourselves or you can upload us your own artwork
There are 2 forms of engraving that are added to your chosen ring. The National Association of Goldsmiths has this helpful card to help you choose a design for your signet ring. This is only a guide however as also love to work with a client for a complete bespoke design.
Deep Seal Engraving:
Traditional deep seal engraving is the most popular method of engraving signet rings. We create your design by carving deeply into the metal, hand engraving the design in reverse.
Surface Cut Engraving:
Started in CAD Design and finished by hand. This isn't as deep a form of engraving and may not have the same longevity as seal engraving.

Our rings are all hallmarked in the Edinburgh assay office. These rings become family heirlooms and we think the Edinburgh hallmark is a landmark suited also to this style of ring.
Helpful Signet Ring Shopping Service
We are currently closed to showroom consultations but would like to offer our clients the opportunity to view our rings from the comfort of your home.
We can help you find a Signet ring style during an online consultation then we can also send you a 3D printed resin model for you to try on for shape, size and comfort.
Your individually 3D printed resin model is £20, but this is also deducted from the final balance of the finished ring.
The resin rings also work perfectly during lockdown as a “try before you buy gift”. If you are not sure of their choice of ring, then you can gift with the model and use this as an opportunity to then create the signet ring gift together.
We will deliver your signet ring to your door. This may involve safe distance home delivery or via an insured Royal Mail Delivery. We will be in touch during the making process to keep you informed about expected delivery dates. Currently we are taking 4-6 weeks for rings we don’t currently have in stock. Always let us know if you are hoping to have the ring for a required date and we will try our best to accommodate this where possible.
